Darren started his career in the NSW Police attaining various qualifications and ultimately deployed in the tactical teams and Special Ops, he was also an instructor, and he attained several commendations and bravery awards. Darren was also a professional rugby league player, playing several years with both the Penrith Panthers and South Sydney Rabbitohs making it to 1st-grade level.

After leaving the police Darren went into the corporate world and with his entrepreneurial skills, he owned businesses as well as worked with some of Australia’s largest companies. He owned several liquor stores, and after selling them, he worked in senior management with both Coles group in the liquor division and Woolworth’s consumer electronic division, both Billion-dollar businesses. Darren was tasked with managing existing businesses as well as facilitating any expansion plans ultimately culminating in a trade sales of Theo’s to Coles Group. After a 12-month stint in the Not for Profit sector as National Operation Manager for St Vincent de Paul, Darren then went on to purchase a Good Guys store for himself and at the same time managed many company-owned stores, ultimately purchasing more stores. Good Guys was a two-billion-dollar business. Darren was also on the national marketing and buying team.

Having a B.Bus, Darren decided he would get an MBA whilst owning and running his Good Guys business which consisted of 3 stores with a $100 million turnover. Upon selling his stake in The Good Guys Darren focused his energy on the private sector particularly private equity, utilizing his experience in both running businesses as well as mergers and acquisitions. Darren worked with Venture Capital businesses and was involved with large-scale dealings and running up to 60 various businesses as the Chief Operations Officer overseeing mergers, acquisitions, and Greenfields startups. Most of these companies were in the Business services sector covering finance, payroll, recruitment, training, labor-hire, entertainment, legal, Immigration, accounting, bookkeeping, business consulting/restructuring, insolvency, and insurance.

Darren branched into finance going back to university and attaining a Master’s in Finance. He worked for UBF (Universal Business Funding) as CEO managing reverse takeovers and IPO’s working closely with finance and legal, taking private companies to public listed and private companies whilst managing a multi-facet organization in business services. Darren merged several businesses with synergies to form a mid-tier business. Darren again decided to go back to university to attain his Master of Business Law.

Darren has been advising various businesses in Finance, Start-up, BlockChain, and technology over the past few years from conception, formulating business plans, valuations, objectives, and structure. Darren with his wealth of experience, in running businesses, acquiring businesses, and merging businesses has started his own business (United) in Labour Hire within the construction sector. This business has been started in Queensland to take advantage of the construction boom in the state as well as Brisbane being granted the 2032 Olympics.

Michael Coutsoudes

Michael with his entrepreneurial flair owned and operated his own businesses for over 15 years in both the retail and wholesale seafood industry. As a result of his hard work and talent for motivating people plus savvy instincts, Michael was chosen as the best Fish & Chip shop in Sydney in 2003.

After a successful run in his own business, Michael was headhunted to be the Business Development Manager for Zenith Workforce which was restructuring for growth. In the 5 years, Michael was the Senior Business Development Manager, Zenith became the largest labor Hire business in NSW.

Due to Michael’s business savvy and can-do attitude he was given the responsibility of looking after Australia’s biggest clients including Multiplex, Hutchinson’s, Icon, Watpac, and Richard Crookes. Zenith was then restructured and sold with Michael again being headhunted to go to Melbourne to take up the role of Senior Business Development Manager for Active Workforce.

While in the role with Active, Michael using his experience and knowledge restructured Active to create a platform in which Active could have sustainable growth and increase profits. While Michael was in this role, Active experienced substantial growth.
